In one of the bays of Golden Bay Riviera this man was slowly rowing on surf board. His moves were very slow and gentle, sea was calm. Rower and his soundings were in balance, calmness and peace.

A nickname of M'dina, Malta is "The Silent City" and it's a perfect nickname. No cars are allowed inside this historic walled city at the highest point of the island. The green door opens to a hidden cafe in the wall. I love how you are invited into a place of mystery. Shot on film, 1998, Canon A2E.

Along the northern coast of Gozo, just between Marsalforn and Ramla.
An a day we ventured to a part of the island to rent scooters, I found these boats in the marina. I was transfixed. They are called Luzzu and are boats built in a tradition that takes in Phoenician, Italian and Maltese influences. The eyes are called "The eye of Horace" and are thought to protect the boat from harm. I love the colors. Shot on 35mm film, 1998, Canon A2E.
